What is the Basque CrossFit Championship?
The Basque CrossFit Championship is one of the most powerful competitions in northern Spain. It combines the intensity of CrossFit with the essence of the Basque Country: strength, tradition, and community.
The event will be held from October 31 to November 2, 2025 at the Bilbao Arena, an impressive venue that will once again resonate with the spirit of functional sport.
Online Qualifier and Event Format
Before reaching the in-person phase, athletes from the Elite and RX categories had to pass an online qualifier.
This phase consisted of two WODs that were published and completed within the established deadlines:
WOD 1: from April 1 to April 15
WOD 2: from April 22 to May 6
Once the qualification was completed, the best athletes earned their spot to compete live in Bilbao.
Meanwhile, the team categories RX, Intermediate, Scaled, Master +35, and SC, advanced directly to the in-person phase without needing a qualifier.
During the three days of competition, the participants will face demanding WODs, designed to test all physical capacities: strength, endurance, technique, and strategy
PICSIL Athletes
For the Basque Championship 2025 of CrossFit, each individual category will feature 39 qualified athletes plus 1 special guest: the winner of the previous edition. This formula ensures that last year's top competitors face off against new talents, guaranteeing a high-level show and maximum competitiveness.
